Community Investment Gateway:
Brand launch for an innovative partnership providing impactful VCSE funding.
Approach
We were commissioned to develop a new visual identity for the Community Investment Gateway (the new name for the Third Sector Framework), which has awarded over £3.5 million to charities, community groups, and social enterprises across Wakefield District.
The goal was to create a brand that reflected fairness, transparency, and community impact. A key part of the project was understanding the wide range of organisations the Gateway supports, from grassroots community groups to established charities. We worked closely with stakeholders to ensure the identity was approachable, trustworthy, and inclusive, while giving the Gateway a confident and professional presence.
The resulting branding combines a bold, contemporary colour palette with a flexible graphic system that can adapt across digital and print materials. Simple iconography and illustrative elements highlight the diversity of projects funded, while clean typography ensures clarity and accessibility. The brand is designed to feel welcoming and empowering, conveying the Gateway’s role as a trusted partner for communities across Wakefield District.
The Gateway is a partnership between Nova, Wakefield Council, Wakefield District Health and Care Partnership, and Young Lives.
